Annual Bowling Tournament Bowling · Co-Ed Hudson County - Union City
- Individual Fees
- Regular 45.0 + 4.0% Processing Fee
This is a handicap tournament, welcoming bowlers of all skill levels!
Tournament Rules
- Bowlers will bowl 2 games in a qualifying round.
- There will be 4 divisions. Division 1 will include Bowlers with current average (There will be a men’s division and a women’s division). Division 2 will include all new bowlers that do not have an average (There will be a mens division and a women’s division).
- The handicap will be 90% of 220
- Bowlers that have bowled in a Zog Sports bowling league will use the average from their most recently completed league. Example: John Smith has an average of 165. 220-165=55. 55x90%= 49.5. Therefore, his handicap would be 49 pins per game.
- For new bowlers, they will establish an average based in their qualifying round. Example: Jane Doe does not have an average and bowls games of 120 & 146 in the qualifying round. Jane’s Average will be 133. 120+146/2=133. 220-133=87. 87x90%= 78.3. Therefore, their handicap would be 78 pins.
- Half of the bowlers from each of the 4 divisions will advance to the finals (Bowlers that do not advance to the finals can continue to bowl on lanes not used for the finals until 11:00pm)
- The finals will include a men’s division and a women’s division (half from the current Zog bowlers and half from the new Bowlers) Example: There are 20 men & 20 women that have bowled in a Zog league. 10 men & 10 women will advance to the finals. Same for the new bowler’s division.
- Bowlers that advance to the finals will bowl 2 games.
- The top total for the 2 games + handicap will determine the champion (There will be a men’s champion & women’s champion)
- Winners get a trophy. They will also have bragging rights until the next tournament :)
While competing & winning is great, the goal of this organization is to form new friendships and personal connections and help create caring communities.
